AT THE CONFERENCE:
Talk uploads: Come to the speaker ready room at Marriott Hotel to upload your talk prior to/during the conference. Please do so with as much advance time as you can.
Posters: Set up your poster when you come to register, or just prior to the poster session. Ask for details at the registration desk in the Marriott.
If you need to print out your poster in Tucson, the closest option is at the UofA Student Union Building: http://www.union.arizona.edu/fastcopy/
There will be two styles of contributed talks during the concurrent sessions on January 10th and 12th:
15 minute talks (112 spaces) – 12 min talks with 2 minute question period.
5 minute mini-talks (56 spaces) – 5 min talk (STRICT), no question period. Details below.
Mini-talks are 5 minutes maximum and designed to give a quick overview – times will be strictly monitored for length at the conference. There will be no question period and the change over will be fast. If you go over 5 minutes, you’ll get cut off (in a kind way).
Two 2-hour dedicated poster sessions will be held on the evenings of January 10th & 11th at the Tucson Marriott University Park Hotel. Posters will also be kept up all day on January 11th for casual viewing, while the symposia are in session at the University of Arizona’s Crowder Hall.
Posters will need to be portrait format, with dimensions approximately 3 ft wide x 4 ft tall (~91 x 120 cm).
Posters will be grouped into topical sessions, and each session will be assigned one of two days. Each presenter will be able to extend an invitation to 5 attendees to visit their poster, by way of a specialized invitation program. (Invite system sent out 1 month prior to conference)
The poster sessions will be accompanied by hors d’oeuvres and drinks (cash bar).
